PAIN – Children’s pain
Children’s pain can sometimes be hard to understand, especially if we have an infant – as it is difficult for them to tell us.
Pain in children may result from any of the following causes;
- Earache
- Colic (in babies up to 6 months)
- Headache, relating to allergies or food intolerances or stress
- Trauma following immunization, cuts, bruises, bumps falls or fractures
- Abdominal pain caused by infections, ingestion of toxic substances, or surgical problems
- Bacterial or vial infections such as sore throat, aching joints, skin rashes, eye irritation and blocked nose.
- Chronic diseases
- Degrees of pain are somewhat variable for each individual. Please seek your doctors or pharmacist’s advice before giving your child any medication, as it could cause further discomfort or even contraindications. Our pharmacist’s are extremely knowledgeable, and are always available to advise further treatment and refer you to a doctor if necessary.
