Is a complete system of medicine developed by German physician & chemist, Dr Samuel Hahnemann, based on the principle of “like cures like”. Hahnemann found that many substances, when administered to healthy people, could produce symptoms similar to those experienced by sick people. He also found that illnesses could be cured by using small, specially prepared doses of these substances, if prescribed on the basis of similarity of symptoms. Homeopathy is a system of natural medicine with a proven track record as being a safe, non-toxic, non-addictive, cost effective system of medicine & is acknowledged by the World Health Organisation.

Karen completed her nursing degree in 1987, which lead her to work in Cairns & Melbourne. She has been part of the Calanna team since 2003.
Karen strives to provide a broad spectrum of health solutions to the pharmacy clientele. Working in Critical Care nursing, Karen felt she needed to make people aware of the preventative side of health problems, and with always having an interest in herbs, she graduated as a Herbalist in 2000.
Her goal is to assist clients to become as well as possible, for as long as possible – regardless of their entry point. Her special interest is stress & fatigue.

Leonie is an enthusiastic qualified Naturopath with Pharmacy & Clinical experience. Leonie's interest in the wisdom of healing & guiding people to heal themselves is what lead her to this profession.
