My husband Nev and I recently underwent a Bio Impedance (VLA) test at Calanna Pharmacy in Woree and were amazed at how immediate the results have been.
Nev and I are both high profile business people based in North Queensland who are often jet setting from one destination to the next on business, always putting our health on the backburner. As a couple we decided it was time to take stock of our health and really start to look after our bodies.
My husband and I lead a very busy lifestyle and don't often take the time to look after ourselves as well as we should so we decided to go and see the team at Calanna Pharmacy as we had heard such fantastic stories from other people who had used their services.
The Bio Impedance system has the ability to work out people's biological age. I can honestly say I feel much more revitalised and energised since undertaking the check and adhering to their advice. Nev also says he feels 10 years younger. The system really does get results.
I regularly pop into the Calanna Pharmacy to get an update on where my health is at and to ensure I am on track.
It's just so great, you can pop into the pharmacy for a consultation with one of the consultants in the clinic and 15 minutes later I can have a full print out of what my body is doing at that present time and how healthy I am. I'm now on a maintenance programme where I receive fortnightly checks on my body - it is very motivating.
I see the programme as being great to get people motivated to kick start them into doing something good for themselves and taking years off their lives. In the few months we have been having our regular checks I have already had four years taken off my age - great hey! I don't feel as tired either, I have more energy.
I think it is fantastic and would recommend it to anyone - particularly anyone with a busy life. I want my staff to go so they have more energy as I think it would be of great benefit to my team to have all of us feeling as healthy as we possibly can be.

Bio Impedance Analysis was a great tool - first to assess our off season fitness. I didn't consider it a fitness test but it's been in the Cairns Post a lot this year so we used the Beep Test for fitness testing.It was however really useful for motivating the players to improve on their scores and sparked fierce competition between the players to improve body fat levels and biological age etc.The team noticed significant improvement in the second testing. This was also due to the nutritional surveys and expert advice given by Calanna Clinic.
