Welcome to April 20-10

Three months – 25% of your year – has already passed. Look back and ask yourself:

1. What have I done better?
2. What have I avoided and why?
3. How can I stay on my life journey and get back on it?

Recently I saw the move “Invictus” and immediately went home & Googled the poem:

INVICTUS:

Out of the night that covers me, Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be, For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance, I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance, My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears, Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years, Finds and shall find me unafraid.
It matters not how straight the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll
I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul.

This poem was written by William Henley and means “Unconquered”. When I read this poem I was enthused with the energy to pursue my present projects and the passion to innovate and inspire others. Despite all our excuses and situations, we control how we deal with our challenges and how we see them.

During April keep in mind: “I am the master of my fate; I am the Captain of my ship”
